My name is Nekosen and I write articles for Neko Yado Research.
I like cats, cat inns, FF14, motorcycles, and camping. I look for inns where I can relax in the same space as resident cats, stay there, and record what I learn.
Reason for researching cat accommodation
When choosing an inn, you want to know more than just the facilities and meals.
“What kind of cats live there?” “Where can I meet them?” “Do they ever come to visit the guest room?” I started Neko Yado Research because I wanted to provide the information that cat lovers really want to know, along with as much solid evidence as possible.
I will introduce the hotels I have actually stayed at as my own experiences, and the hotels I have not yet stayed at will be distinguished as research articles based on official information and confirmed materials. We respect the cat’s mood and physical condition, and do not make statements that cannot be guaranteed, such as “you will definitely meet the cat” or “the cat will definitely visit your room.”
Using IT to connect inns and travelers
At Neko Yado Research, we not only write articles, but also try and operate WordPress construction, server operation using VPS/Docker, backup, security, SEO, access analysis, and automation of information updates.
AI such as Codex and Claude Code is also used for research, article organization, code correction, display confirmation, and operational records. However, rather than leaving everything to AI, we emphasize a combination of checking with official information, backing up before changes, human approval, and post-publication inspection.
In small inns, it is not uncommon for a small number of people to manage the website, reservations, payments, SNS, and servers. In addition to “increasing the number of people who go to see cats,” Neko Yado Research’s second mission is to use technology to make life a little easier for people who continue running inns while living with cats. We will share the knowledge we have gained through the operation of this site in a way that will also be useful to the host, who runs a cat inn.
Web operation guide for hosts introduces the differences between rental servers and VPS, safe updates of WordPress, how to choose a reservation and payment system, how to use Codex and Claude Code, etc., with technical terminology explained as simply as possible.
I like FF14
When I’m not traveling, I sometimes spend my time playing FF14.
Walking in unknown places, spending time with friends, and taking a breather during an adventure. I feel that there is something in common between my favorite time playing FF14 and the time I spend at Nekoyado.
This site is not a FF14 strategy site, but FF14 occasionally appears in stories about traveling and building accommodations, which is something Nekosen likes.
We also operate the site “EO PLACE” where you can search for stores created by players, such as bars, cafes, and glamour shops using FF14 housing. This is a personal development service that helps you find the one place you want to visit tonight, just like choosing a destination.
Someday, I will create an inn where cats and adventurers can relax.
In the future, I would like to run a pension where cats can live in peace and where guests can enjoy time with resident cats and play FF14.
Stable internet, a desk and chair that are comfortable for long hours, wiring that is safe for cats, and consideration for noise at night. What does it take to make an inn that is comfortable for people who like games while also prioritizing comfort for cats? I’m currently at the stage of searching for the answer while visiting cat inns across the country.
The location and opening date have not yet been decided. From now on, I will gradually record my thoughts and preparation process on this site.
What we want to deliver on this site
- Information on inns where you can naturally interact with cats
- What I learned from actually staying there
- Character and charm of each cat
- Research on accommodations that are comfortable for both cats and people
- Information useful for inn web management, such as WordPress, AI, reservations and payments
- Record of creating an inn where you can enjoy FF14 with cats
I will slowly develop it as a starting point for a trip to meet cats, and as a research record that will lead to the inn I will build someday.
