This article is a resident cat profile based on what I heard at Pension Atca. Cats’ behavior depends on their mood and physical condition, so you may not always be able to interact with them in the same way.

Pension Atca‘s “Sangchu” is a boy who loves people and is good at serving customers.

Sangchu’s basic profile

Item Contents
Name Sangchu
Gender Boy
Born 2016
Type Mix
Special skills Seeing people off, catching the ball, following walks
Characteristics Friendly enough that they come when you call their name

Friendly personality like a dog

When you call his name, he will come closer and may go to retrieve the Super Ball you threw. They are sometimes seen accompanying families on walks, and have both the freedom of a cat and the friendliness of a dog.

Ever since he first came to Atca, he was not afraid of people or the native cats, and was the type to keep his distance from himself. This personality is what makes them so attractive as resident cats who welcome guests.

Customer service staff visiting the guest room

I go to the guest room of the guest and sometimes sleep with them in the bed if I feel like it. This is one of the cats that symbolizes the “inn where cats come to the guest room” that this site emphasizes.

However, Sangchu decides which rooms to visit and how long to stay. If the cat doesn’t come when you call his name, assume that he is prioritizing rest or other activities.

Friendly to cat friends

She is very interested not only in people but also in cats, and even when a new cat joins her, she sometimes approaches them herself. Other cats may dislike them because they are too close, but they have a peaceful personality and don’t like fighting.

Key points when playing with Sangchu

  • If you don’t come when I call, I won’t chase you.
  • When playing with a ball, make sure that the people and cats around you are safe.
  • Do not give food even if you come to the guest room
  • Allows you to leave the room freely while sleeping together
  • Don’t take farewell or guest-room visits as a natural service.

Precautions when expecting guest-room visits

The guest-room visits and co-sleeping introduced in this article are the actions of Sangchu when we visited Pension Atca. This is not a service that allows guests to specify the time or room.

Sangchu situation Guest behavior
I came to the guest room entrance Check the rules of the inn to see if I can enter the room
Climb to bed Put away food, medicine, and strings to maintain free exit
Doesn’t come even if you call his name Don’t chase him, prioritize rest or other activities
Chase the ball Check the permission of the accommodation and the safety of surrounding cats and people

Read as a record

Born in 2016, his age, physical condition, and management of the accommodation may change how he spends his time now compared to when we interviewed him. Please treat the pre-stay and arrival briefings as up-to-date.

If Sangchu heads to another guest room, do not chase him or ambush him in the hallway. Please respect the time and privacy of other guests and spend time quietly in your room.

Summary

Sangchu is a resident cat who enjoys interacting with people and is good at serving customers. There is a possibility of guest-room visits or co-sleeping, but respecting the cat’s wishes and waiting is the typical Atca way to spend time.
