5 resident cats “Kanbanyan”
Official website introduces five cats as resident cats: Kabosu, Yuzu, Zabon, Amanatsu, and Hassaku.
The cats live at the inn, but guest-room visits are not guaranteed. If you meet a cat inside the inn, interact gently while watching how the cat responds.
Kannawa Onsen hot springs and retro inside the inn
Yunoka has a new building and a retro building that retains the atmosphere of the Showa era, with a large public bath, an open-air bath, and two types of family baths. The men’s and women’s bathing areas switch around 22:00. You can combine your stay with a walk through Kannawa’s steaming streets or a tour of the geothermal sights known as the “hells.”
This inn is not only for cats, but also for hot springs and Kaiseki cuisine.
5 types of guest rooms and cuisine
The guest rooms consist of a total of five types: four types in the New Building and one in the Retro Building. The New Building features Japanese-Western style rooms and Japanese-style rooms with a half-open-air hot spring bath fed directly from the source, while the Retro Building has shared baths and toilets and is a smoking area. Due to significant differences in facilities, please compare not only the price but also the bath, toilet, and non-smoking conditions.
Dinner is a Kaiseki meal using local seasonal ingredients such as fish, meat, and vegetables. The restaurant has table seats and private rooms. Room meal availability varies depending on the plan, so please confirm.
