Kittens B&B, located in Taitung City in eastern Taiwan, is a 4-room guesthouse where resident cats live in the inn, providing an animal-friendly space and homemade breakfast. Not only are pets allowed, but travelers who don’t own a cat are also officially invited to interact with cats.

Even people who don’t own a cat can interact with resident cats

Official website states that “There really are cats inside Kittens B&B,” and the policy is to welcome people who like cats, people who want to interact with cats, and even people who are a little afraid of cats to experience spending time with cats.

Inside the inn, the photo shows cats living in the common space. On this site, we classify interaction with resident cats as category B because the official guide is an accommodation experience. I cannot confirm the current official announcement that the resident cat enters the guest room, so I will not rate it as A.

Cat names and the number of cats may change. When you arrive, ask the inn staff about the times you can meet and the area you are allowed to touch. Even if the cat is friendly, it’s important not to chase it when it’s asleep or away.

Small guesthouse with 4 rooms in total

There are 4 guest rooms in total, 2 rooms for 2 people and 2 rooms for 4 people. It’s not a large hotel, but a home-style accommodation where you can be close to the host and other travelers.

Wi-Fi, air conditioning, TV, refrigeration equipment, etc. are provided, but please check the bathroom, bed configuration, windows, stairs, etc. for each room. From 2026, there has been a guidance that, in principle, reservations will be accepted up to six months in advance, and reservations for consecutive nights may be given priority on weekends and consecutive holidays during the busy season.

Homemade breakfast is also a feature of the inn.

On the official website, we introduce homemade breakfasts made with ingredients from Taitung and local farmers, including bread made with home-grown yeast, fruit juice, milk, eggs, and vegetables.

Meals may not be included, depending on your plan. Some offers for consecutive nights also exclude breakfast, so check the meal conditions as well as the booking price. If you have allergies or dietary restrictions, ask the inn in advance whether it can accommodate them.

Pets are allowed, but there are resident cat safety rules.

Kittens B&B is certified as a pet-friendly accommodation. We have a policy of accepting dogs, cats, and a variety of other animals, but you must declare the species, number, gender, etc. when making a reservation.

There is a resident cat inside the inn, so companion animals that may chase or attack cannot be off-leash. There are also rules for excretion, climbing onto the bed, house sitting, vaccinations, and parasite control.

The purpose of this site is to interact with resident cats. You can stay with us even if you don’t bring your own pet, but please be aware that there may be other guests with pets at the same time.

Urban location near Taitung Sugar Factory

The location is Sec. 2, Zhongxing Road, Taitung City. According to current guidance, the location is within walking distance from the Taitung Sugar Factory bus stop and YouBike base, and buses can be taken from Taitung Station and the airport.

If you will be arriving later, please contact the inn for check-in instructions. Since Japanese support cannot always be guaranteed, it is a good idea to save the facility name, Chinese address, and reservation confirmation screen.

Summary

Kittens B&B is a Taiwanese cat inn that clearly welcomes not only people traveling with pets, but also travelers who want to interact with resident cats. The homely size of only 4 rooms and the carefully prepared breakfast are also reasons to choose this inn.

Because resident cats, companion animals, and travelers share the same building, this is an inn that values the basics of not chasing cats, not feeding them, and asking the inn about the rules first.
