Mika B&B in Sanxing Township, Yilan County, northeastern Taiwan is a small guesthouse with 2 rooms, created for 7 former stray cats taken into care. Its first-floor cafe, homemade meals, and cat-themed interior are also distinctive, but the inn clearly states that cats are not tools for serving guests.
7 cats are not “services” but family members
Official website informs you that there are seven cats living at the inn, all of whom are former stray cats who were rescued. There are cat-themed decorations throughout the inn, and the first floor is a space where coffee and homemade snacks are served.
In December 2025, the inn reiterated in an official statement that it does not provide a cat co-sleeping service. Cats are members of the host’s family, not animals to be held or made to sleep in guest rooms to please guests. Even when travelers encounter cats in shared spaces, they must not follow them when they leave or enter their resting places.
We classify this inn as B because guests can share space with cats inside the inn. Guest-room visits and physical contact are not guaranteed.
2-room guesthouse with elevator
The 2 double rooms are called “Mika Small Guest Room” and “Mika Mountain-view Room.” The official description emphasizes natural light and a calm atmosphere, and the bathrooms have separate wet and dry areas. This small guesthouse does not offer a large choice of rooms like a hotel.
The inn has an elevator, but the entrance and guest-room interiors may not be fully accessible. If you are concerned about steps, bed height, or bathroom facilities, consult the inn before booking.
You cannot bring your own pet with you.
An inn with resident cats is not necessarily pet-friendly. The inn does not accept travelers’ pets because several cats live there and, with only 2 guest rooms, it is difficult to separate living spaces.
Keeping unfamiliar animals away from the inn’s resident cats helps prevent infectious diseases, territorial disputes, and escapes. Travelers who want to bring their own cats or dogs should choose another pet-friendly facility.
A stay in the countryside of Sanxing
The inn is on Xingjian 7th Road in Sanxing Township, in a rural area away from the urban center around Luodong Station. Nearby places suggested include Zhang Mei Amah Farm, the Annong River, and the bald cypress groves of Sanxing.
If relying on public transportation, check the distance from the bus stop, taxi arrangements, and the return journey in advance. Small inns may also have limited check-in hours, so tell the inn when you expect to arrive.

Summary
Mika B&B clearly treats its 7 rescue cats as family members and does not force closer interaction as a selling point. It suits travelers who prefer to quietly watch cats move freely around the same house rather than those hoping to invite cats into their guest rooms.
Visit with time to drink coffee on the first floor and enjoy the countryside, accepting that whether cats meet you is their choice.
