Nala took 2nd place in the 2026 “I want to meet you! Ranking of inn resident cats”. According to the current information about the inn, this is the fourth consecutive year that the inn has won the award, following Love in 2023, Pandas in 2024, and Fuku and Love in 2025.
As of February 2026, there are 8 resident cats. In addition to Nala, multiple cats are an important face of the inn, but not all of them appear at the same time. Based on the current reviews, we have confirmed cases where people were able to interact with friendly cats, so we have given it a B rating.
Cats’ working hours and whereabouts are not set, so it is recommended that you wait for them to approach you when you meet them.
Hot springs and Southern Boso cuisine
The inn consists of a Taisho Roman-style main building with antiques and an outbuilding that allows pets. The main building has a guest room with an open-air bath, as well as a large hall for groups, and there are also rooms in the annex with private cypress open-air baths and circular open-air baths. Each guest room has different facilities and pet-friendly conditions, so be sure to check the purpose of meeting the resident cats and choosing a guest room separately.
The signature dish for dinner is a slow-simmered beef stew. You can eat at either the main building restaurant or a restaurant in a separate building, and there are also plans that allow you to add items such as Boshu spiny lobster, local fish funamori, and golden sea bream.

Approximately 5 minutes by car from Kyonan Yasuda IC on the Tateyama Expressway, and approximately 20 minutes on foot from Awa-Katsuyama Station on the JR Uchibo Line. We also offer pick-up and drop-off information from the station, so if you plan to visit by public transportation, please check the conditions when making your reservation.
It is easy to combine with sightseeing at Mt. Nokogiriyama and the seaside, and is suitable for people who want to assemble an overnight stay that includes not only cats but also southern Boso cuisine, hot springs, and nature.
