“Cat Sky B&B” in Sanxing Township, Yilan County, northeastern Taiwan, is a small guesthouse with rescued cats, dogs, chickens, parrots, and more in the countryside along the Annong River. It’s not just an inn with cat-like decorations, but multiple cats that have been welcomed by the host and are actually living there.
A countryside inn waiting for cats to walk by your feet
The inn information provided by the Taiwan Tourism Bureau, Ministry of Transportation and Communications explains how the inn came to be, with the host adopting cats from a halfway house, and the number of cats increasing to seven or eight. The facility’s current information also describes a rural stay with cats walking underfoot in the garden and during mealtimes.
According to accommodation information for 2026, there are records from guests that there are approximately 11 cats in the park, and there are cases of cats coming onto the balcony of the guest room. However, the facility does not guarantee that cats will be allowed in the guest room. On this site, we classify it into B, which allows you to interact in gardens and common spaces.
The number of groups accepted at one time is small.
According to the registration information at the tourist office, there are 2 guest rooms. The facility information includes rooms for two and four people, as well as rooms for small groups. The units sold and capacity vary depending on the season, so please check the bedding, bathroom, and capacity on the reservation screen.
The inn is an old rural house, so it is not a place where you would expect the same sound insulation and facilities as a city hotel. Suitable for people who can enjoy an environment that includes the sounds of chickens, insects, and signs of animals.
Pet companions and resident cat safety
Utatenku is registered as a pet-friendly facility. However, there is a difference between being able to bring your own dog or cat and being able to freely approach resident cats.
When making a reservation, please check the conditions such as the type of animal, number of animals, price, vaccines, etc. When inside the inn, please use a leash or carrier according to the instructions of the inn. Avoid following the resident cat, sharing its food, or giving it treats without permission.
Annongxi and Xingken Organic Village
The location is in the rural area of Sanxingxiang Xingjian Wulu, which suits a stay where you can relax outdoors, combined with the scenery of Anongxi and Xingjian Organic Village.
Public transportation is not as frequent as in urban areas. Please check transportation from Luodong, nearest buses, taxis, and parking options before booking. It is safer to avoid planning to arrive on foot at night.
