“Ishigaki Hills” in Miyara, Ishigaki City, Okinawa Prefecture is a rental villa built on a hill overlooking Miyara Bay. It has two buildings with different tastes, a pool and outdoor dining, and a rescue cat named Fuku lives in the garden.
Friendly Fuku living in the garden
According to the official website, Fuku started visiting the garden around October 2024, and has become an established cat that is loved by many guests. The facility has cared for Fuku, including vaccination, neutering and parasite checks.
Fuku is friendly and enjoys relaxing in a cozy spot in the garden. Since the official guideline clearly states, “Wash your hands with soap and water after touching it,” this site classifies it as B. The rules explicitly prohibit letting Fuku indoors, so this is not an inn where the cat visits guest rooms.
It is also an important rule not to feed them anything other than the food provided in the warehouse and to not leave food in the garden. Always wash your hands after coming into contact with cats living in a natural outdoor setting, and only watch over them when they are resting.
2 types of rental villas
There are two types of guest room: “OPEN SKY VILLA” and “OUTDOOR VILLA.”You can rent the entire building for your family or group to spend privately, and check the number of guests, bedroom configuration, and pool usage conditions for each villa you reserve.
Because the property is designed for enjoying gardens and outdoor spaces, prepare for insects and weather. If a companion has a severe cat allergy, make sure your companions know in advance that a cat lives in the garden.
BBQ and island ingredients
The outdoor dining area is equipped with a grill, sink, chairs, and tableware, and BBQ sets using Yaeyama ingredients can be arranged. There are other options such as pizza, wine, and cake, but reservation deadlines and offerings change, so be sure to check on the official reservation screen.

It is approximately 15 minutes by car from Minanushima Ishigaki Airport, and approximately 15 minutes by car from the city center and the remote island terminal.
