Additionally, Booking.com has specific lodging records from March to June 2026.There have been multiple instances of Oppan walking down the hallway looking for people, sleeping on someone’s lap, or going into the guest room at night and staying there until morning. Reviews from June 2026 also report that they are so friendly that they may not be suitable for people who don’t like cats.

Stay in a historic building in Taipei City

The OrigInn Space (OrigInn Space) building is one of the “Liukuguan Jiewei style storehouses” that line West Nanjing Road. According to the official website, it was renovated into a Western-style brick building in 1931 during the Japanese colonial period, and was registered as a historical building and tangible cultural property of Taipei City in 2008.

The first floor is a cafe and select shop, and the second and third floors are guest rooms. Instead of making the old building homogeneous like a new hotel, we combine vintage Scandinavian furniture, record players, selected books, and Taiwanese tea.

Because it is a historic building, there is no elevator, so you must use the stairs to get around. Some reviews say that the sound of cars was bothersome in rooms facing Nanjing West Road. If you have heavy luggage or are sensitive to noise, please check the floor and location of your room before booking.

Water conditions are different in 5 rooms

There are 5 guest rooms: 3rd floor, front, 3rd floor, back, 2nd floor, right, 2nd floor, left, and 2nd floor, back. All rooms are equipped with record players, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, electric kettles, aroma diffusers, etc.

Two rooms on the third floor have private bathrooms, but the “third floor. Mae” is outside the guest room, a few seconds walk away. The “third floor, back” is a quiet windowless room that does not face the street and has a large polished stone bathtub inside.

The three rooms on the second floor share the toilet and shower outside the guest room. Second floor. There is a twin bed in the back, and the rooms on the left and right have double beds. Choose whether the room is private or shared, whether it has windows or not, and whether it faces the road, depending not only on the price but also on your stay preferences.

Food and how to spend your time in Dadaocheng

The cafe on the first floor offers hand drip coffee, espresso, lattes, and more. However, breakfast is not always included in the room rate. Please check your reservation plan for dietary requirements.

The accommodation is very close to Dihua Street and within walking distance of Ningxia Night Market and Dadaocheng Pier. You can walk to breakfast shops, tea shops, dry goods stores, food stalls, and more, making it easy to enjoy the city of Dadaocheng without having to eat.
