“Rokumeian” in Koseda, Yakushima Town is a handmade building surrounded by forest, and is a guesthouse that only welcomes two groups a day. The current facility information clearly states that there are resident cats and dogs.
It has been confirmed that the resident cat lives there, but the range of contact has been unconfirmed.
Jalan Facility Overview advises that inside the inn has a resident cats and dogs, so please acknowledge this before making a reservation. In other words, the cat is not just a signboard cat, but an everyday member of the inn.

The bath is traditional wood-fired and open from 5pm to 9pm. There are conditions for private use. Shampoo, conditioner, body soap, towels, toothbrushes, etc. are provided, but yukatas and pajamas are not provided.

Access from Yakushima Airport
The location is Koseda district where Yakushima Airport is located. In the guest information, there is an example of a 20 minute walk from the airport, but considering luggage, rain, and dark times, it is safe to ask if there is a shuttle service or use a taxi when making a reservation.
