“Ryuo Radon Onsen Utopia” in Kai City, Yamanashi Prefecture is a hot spring facility that accepts overnight stays and day trip bathers. Goemon, the inn’s resident cat, spends time around the front desk and enjoys interacting with guests and bathers.
The front is Goemon’s favorite
In the facility comments for 2026, Goemon is described as often watching the surroundings from the front counter or the top of the cage, and relaxing next to the front desk. This resident cat is not shy and enjoys interacting with visitors.
It is classified as B because you can interact concretely in the common area. We cannot confirm information that cats come to the guest room. If you would like to meet, please ask at the front desk about the day’s situation and interact in a place where you will not interfere with work or other users.
Hot spring inn where you can stay for a long time to enjoy the hot springs
Yamanashi Prefecture Official Tourist Information introduces it as a bathing facility that combines a natural hot spring and a radon generator. In addition to day-trip bathing, there are accommodation and hot spring treatment plans that allow you to bathe multiple times.
Do not judge the efficacy of hot springs as if it were a medical procedure, but bathe according to your physical condition. Avoid bathing for too long or repeatedly, and if you have any concerns due to chronic illness, pregnancy, or treatment, please consult your doctor and the facility.
Japanese-style guest room and meals
The official guest room guide features rooms such as 6-tatami-mat Japanese-style rooms that are also easy to use for long-term stays. Conditions vary depending on the plan, such as accommodation only, with breakfast, or with two meals.
Meal plans feature dishes using seasonal ingredients. Inside the Inn also has a restaurant and rest area, but please check the latest information for business hours and conditions for guests.
In 2026, there is a notice to renovate the bathhouse, lobby, guest room, etc. Opening hours and flow lines may change depending on the construction date, so please check the official announcement before making a reservation.
