A resident cat who likes to be petted
According to the facility’s introduction, Fuku was rescued when he was 3 days old and weighed about 70 grams, and was raised by humans. He is named ‘Fuku’ “May good fortune come to you every time you call his name,” and is said to be very friendly and likes to be petted.
This site classifies them as B because we can specifically confirm the personality that allows them to interact with guests. However, we cannot confirm that they come to the guest room or close the door to keep them in the guest room or wake a sleeping cat. All rooms are in separate villas, so if you are likely to see Fuku, you will most likely see them in the shared areas of the facility, such as the entrance and courtyard.
Be sure to ask the staff on the day about the cat’s range of activity and the best time to meet. If you do see one, wait for it to approach and avoid chasing it or using the flash to take photos.
Villas with all rooms in separate buildings, limited to 3 groups per day
According to the official website, hotel cava is limited to three groups per day. All guest rooms are separate buildings with ocean views. There is a hammock on the balcony and a cat foot bath in the bathroom.
At the center of the building is an entrance with a water garden and a courtyard that is illuminated at night. The lounge and bar for guests serves awamori, Orion beer, cocktails, and more. Cat “Fuku” and cat foot bus are two different things, so be careful not to confuse them when searching.
It is about a 3 minute walk to the surrounding natural beaches. This is a small inn where you can enjoy the tranquility of the island with a guest rooms, rather than a typical large resort with pools and numerous restaurants.
Breakfast delivered to the guest room in a basket
Breakfast and dinner can be added to a stay without meals. Breakfast is delivered in a basket to the guest room. For dinner, we offer Agu pork shabu-shabu and BBQ.
Requests for additional meals must be made at least one week before the date of stay. Restaurants on the island may change their business hours and holidays, so if you’re staying without meals, it’s best to decide where to have dinner early.

The location is 2593-2 Kouri. The official website says it takes about 1 and a half hours by car from Naha Airport using the Okinawa Expressway, or about 2 hours by public road. We recommend using Google Maps, as car navigation systems may not provide accurate directions.
