Kameya Mannenkaku, located in Onogawa Onsen in Yonezawa City, Yamagata Prefecture, is a modern Japanese-style hot spring inn with 5 rooms. In addition to hot spring water fed directly from the source and dishes centered around Yonezawa beef, a resident cat welcomes guests.

Resident cat greeted in the lobby

Onogawa Onsen’s official website announces that “resident cats will welcome you,” and Nana, a yellow-bellied tiger who entertains guests in the lobby, appears in the 2025 Rakuten Travel resident cat ranking.

We can confirm that cats are present and can be met in the common areas, but we cannot currently confirm information about the area where guests can pet them or guest-room visits. For this reason, this site classifies it as C. When someone shows up in the lobby, first ask the staff if you can touch them.

Onogawa Onsen official website states that there are 5 guest rooms in total. The universal room is located on the first floor and is equipped with a bed, sofa, and raised area, according to Yamagata Prefecture Tourism Information.

Some rooms have a private dining room next to the guest room, allowing you to enjoy your meals in privacy. Please check the stairs, bedding, and bathroom facilities for each room when making a reservation.

Natural hot spring water and Yonezawa beef

We use 100% natural hot spring water from Onogawa Onsen, and have separate indoor and outdoor baths for men and women. Cleaning times and bathing conditions will follow the instructions on the day.

The dishes are mainly A5 rank Yonezawa beef and a combination of seasonal ingredients from Yonezawa. The food content and method of serving will vary depending on the plan, so be sure to discuss any allergies you may have when making a reservation.
