The order of publication is not a ranking. At each link, you can check the current information about the cat, where you can meet it, the accuracy of guest room visits, unconfirmed items, and links to official information.
Points compared for “walking from the station”
It is based on the fact that you can check the nearest station and walking distance from the inn’s official access, and it is not posted just because it is automatically calculated on the map. Even with the same 10-minute walk, the burden changes due to hills, stairs, sidewalks, railroad crossings, night roads, snow, summer heat, and large luggage. Because station names may be similar or limited express trains may not stop there, calculate backwards based on the route you will be boarding and arrival time. If walking is difficult, you can check the availability of buses and shuttles in a separate list.
How to read reference materials
The walking distance and route prioritize the official access guide, and the distance to the cat refers to the confirmation source of the linked individual research article. If there is a relocation or station renovation, we will reconfirm the minutes.
Please double check before booking
- Is the resident cat currently living at the inn on the desired date?
- Where and when you can meet cats, and whether or not you can interact with them
- Are the conditions the same for your desired accommodation plan?
- You may not be able to meet the cat due to his rest days or physical condition.
- Latest conditions for transportation, meals, and check-in
Things to see other than walking minutes
Check slopes, stairs, sidewalks, street lights, sunsets, snowfall, and carrying cases. Arrive in daylight, and also look into taxis and transfers in case of bad weather.
How to check the walking route from the station to the inn
The official walking distance is a general guideline and is not the time from the ticket gate to the guest room. Check the map for the train ticket gates, hotel entrances, signals and railroad crossings you will be using, and give yourself plenty of extra time if you are new to the area. Distances will change if you mix up Shinkansen stations and conventional line stations, stations with the same name, or east and west exits.
- Nearest station and exit provided by the inn
- Pavements, sidewalks, slopes, stairs, crosswalks
- Lighting and foot traffic after sunset
- Ease of walking during rain, snow, and extreme heat
- Travel time with luggage and children
- Contact information and check-in deadline if you get lost
If you are staying at an inn where you need to do some shopping in front of the station, include the store’s opening hours in your itinerary. This list is not a list of accommodations that can be reached from the station by shuttle service, but rather a comparison of accommodations that offer walking access. If you are concerned about walking, please do not push yourself too hard even if the distance is short, and ask the hotel about transportation, local buses, or taxis.
When estimating the time required, add the time required to travel from the ticket gate to the station exit, waiting at traffic lights, and finding the entrance to the walking time on the map app. Try to aim for services that arrive during daylight hours, rather than just before dinner or curfew. The return trip may be uphill even on the same road, and the sidewalks may be crowded during the morning commute to work or school. For those who choose walking as a condition of their trip, this is a list that specifies the final leg before arriving at the inn.
List update policy
If conditions change due to information from the inn, updates to the official website, or on-site interviews, we will update the individual articles and this list at the same time. Old SNS posts alone will not raise the conditions for publication. If you notice any errors or changes in the information, please let us know along with the official source of confirmation.
Summary
Nekoyado, which is a short walk from the station, is a great candidate for traveling without a car. Check not only the distance, but also the arrival time and safety of the route before choosing.
